Art is a form of meditation for me. It’s a chance to escape from the overstimulated world that I feel so plugged into on a day to day basis.
- Amy Elliott, Ocean Artist, Bay of Islands, New Zealand

Welcome, Kia Ora, Hola!
I am Amy, a woman, a wife, a homeschooling mum with a background in business and marketing. Creativity has always been at the heart of who I am, so adding “artist” to my journey felt like a natural leap.
In recent years, the ocean has been my biggest source of inspiration. Some might even say I’m a bit obsessed with the water and capturing the beauty of Paua. Every piece I create seems to take on a life of its own, filling my mind with endless creative energy. Throughout the process I'm using a range of materials and tools to recreate the Paua, in my mind, bringing it back to it's lifelike form, so that it can be treasured by others.
I want to take a moment right here to THANK those who have encouraged me to step into this world of art, and to those who have welcomed my creations into their lives and personal spaces. Your support means the world to my family and I.
I love art and I know the joy it brings me to hang a new piece on the wall. I hope my pieces can bring you that same level of joy.
Oceans of Love

Every piece of art starts with a free dive...
As I slip into the water with my snorkel and flippers, within minutes, I’m carried away by the ocean’s rhythm. The gentle rocking and swaying has a calming, almost therapeutic effect.
While submerged, I lose myself in the peacefulness around me, the fish swimming past, or alongside me, the stingrays gliding gracefully across the ocean floor and the seaweed flowing in sync with the current. It's incredibly therapeutic!
Afterwards the artist in me starts to formulate a plan on how I can take my special finds and recreate them into treasured pieces.
I am not interested in mass producing! I am very passionate about ensuring we protect the ocean so that my children and following generations can experience the beauty that lies beneath the waterline. If you have one of my Paua creations, it's guaranteed that my family and I enjoyed a beautiful meal from it's living form.
